A note from the founder
The Magical Mailbox™ began in our home with our kids. I wanted to create a countdown to Christmas that felt magical and exciting, but focused less on what they were getting and more on kindness, connection, creativity, and intentional time together. When I couldn’t find a tradition that felt quite right, I decided to create one myself. As our kids fell in love with the Mailbox, and I saw the idea resonate with friends and families around us, I began to realize it could be something much bigger. The magic didn’t have to belong to one holiday or one time of year. It could become a tradition families could bring into the celebrations, milestones, seasons, and everyday moments that matter most to them. I also wanted it to feel welcoming beyond our own family, so kids could share in the magic no matter what holidays they celebrated.
Just as important, I wanted the experience to feel full of wonder for kids without becoming one more thing for grown-ups to manage. No elaborate setups. No pressure to do it every day. No need to make it perfect. Just a simple way to create anticipation, spark imagination, and make the moments families already share feel a little more special. That idea became The Magical Mailbox™: a tradition designed to bring more kindness, connection, and wonder into family life, with plenty of room for every family to make the magic their own.

No. Hiding the golden pinecone is part of starting the tradition, but after that, it’s entirely up to you. Hide it again when it sounds fun, leave it somewhere easy to find, or simply bring it out when you’re ready to begin another Mailbox moment.
As often as it feels right. Some families may use it daily for a season, while others might bring it out once a week or whenever they want to add a little magic.
No. The included notes provide ready-to-use ideas, and many build on things families already do. You can also skip days or write your own note whenever you already have plans.
Yes. The experience is designed to work beautifully as a shared family tradition.
Absolutely. The kit includes 10 blank notes so you can add family plans, outings, traditions, celebrations, or personal messages.
The general experience is not tied to one religion or belief. Families can use the included celebration-neutral notes and personalize the blank notes with the traditions and beliefs that matter to them.

If you use the Parent Planner, we store the dates you plan, selected card identifiers, private reminders you choose to enter, and the note sets you unlock. We use this information to save and restore your planner and manage access to your note sets. Your planner information is not displayed publicly.
If you choose to connect an email address for recovery, we collect and verify that address so we can send verification and recovery links and help you return to your saved planner. Connecting an email to your Parent Planner does not subscribe you to marketing emails.
We use necessary cookies to maintain your planner session and help you return in the same browser. Clearing these cookies may require you to recover your planner using your verified email address. These planner cookies are not used for advertising.
The Parent Planner is intended for adults. Please do not enter children’s names, birthdays, health or behavior information, or other sensitive personal information in private reminders.

We use Resend to send email communications, including Parent Planner verification and recovery emails. Resend processes recipient email addresses and message content as necessary to deliver these emails. Planner data is stored through our website hosting service providers.
We use Cloudflare Turnstile to help protect our signup form from bots and abuse. Cloudflare processes technical browser and device signals to provide and improve this protection. More information is available in Cloudflare’s Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
We may also disclose information if required by law.
We keep personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the services described in this policy, meet legal obligations, and protect the security of our website.
If you unsubscribe from marketing emails, we stop sending those updates. We may retain limited information to honor your unsubscribe request.
Saved planner information and verified recovery email addresses are retained to provide your planner and help you restore access. Unsubscribing from marketing emails does not delete your planner or prevent you from requesting recovery emails.
